Lobo Football Places 47 on Academic All-MW Team

COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. — The University of New Mexico had 47 student-athletes named to the Mountain West All-Academic squad, the most in school history for any program or team.  Football was the only sport honored as the other traditional fall sports were postponed until spring due to the COVID-19 pandemic.

To be eligible for 2020 Fall Academic All-Conference honors, student-athletes must have completed at least one academic term at the member institution while maintaining a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or better. The athletic contribution/participation requirement has been omitted for this award this year due to the impact of COVID-19.

New Mexico’s previous high was 27 in 2018.  The following players were honored was Mountain West All-Academic honors:
