The Guiding Principles of Lobo Football: The Power of Choice
“The power of choice is the greatest gift that we’ve all been given.”
It would be tough to better sum up the guiding principle of “The Power of Choice” better than that sentence by head coach Bronco Mendenhall. It’s that power that allows a program to move foward, and sometime step back. Because of the choices made.
Do I do an extra rep? Do I study longer for this exam or scroll social media? Do I choose the right way or the wrong way? It’s all choice, and regardless of the influences that can surround a person, in the end, it’s on the person.
“In the end, we decide, and ultimately that decision changes the trajectory of who we become.”
The Lobos that take the field on August 24 made a choice … some to stay at UNM, some to come to UNM to turn around the football teams’ fortunes. The coaches made choices to, to uproot and move to Albuquerque to bring success to Lobo Football.
