English, Hepfer Compete in Day 1 of NCAA Zones

FLAGSTAFF, Ariz. — UNM’s Alice English and Kristen Hepfer competed in the 1-meter dive at the NCAA Zone Championships on Monday with English finishing 27th and Hepfer 43rd.

English recorded 241.50 points while Hepfer scored 195.90 over their six dives.  While neither qualified into one of the three finals, their points do transfer over to UNM’s team for the National Invitational Collegiate Swimming Championships, taking place at the end of the week in Ocala, Florida, giving UNM solid performances for the team.

Tomorrow just English will be competing in the 3-meter dive, starting at 11:30 am Pacific, 12:30 pm Mountain.
