by Frank Mercogliano

OCALA, Fla. — Jordan Foster won a swim-off to qualify for the A-Finals on the 100-yard individual medley, and then finished ninth overall to cap a great postseason week for the Lobo swimming & diving squad in the final meet of the season.

Foster, a senior in her final meet, finished with a qualifying time of 57.02, tying for 10th place, meaning she was in the finals, but which one was yet to be decided.  In a two-person swim off to advance to the A-Final, Foster won with a blazing 55..56 for a PR and UNM’s first A-Finals appearance of the National Invitational Swimming Championships.

In the A-Final, Foster finished ninth with a time of 55.87 for UNM’s highest finish of the meet.
