ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The New Mexico men’s golf team will take on one of its most challenging fields of the season this week as it travels to Arizona for the National Invitational Tournament. The event at the 7,200-yard, par-72 ONMI Tucson National will be held Friday and Saturday.

The tournament will consist of two rounds on Friday, followed by the final round on Saturday. Live scoring will be available on Golfstat.com.

The Lobos, ranked No. 56 nationally by Golfstat, will compete against nine top-30 teams in the 13-team field. No. 3 Arizona State, No. 4 Illinois, No. 9 Pepperdine, No. 12 Florida, No. 13 Oklahoma, host No. 18 Arizona, No. 21 Colorado State, No. 22 Oklahoma State and No. 27 San Diego State are joined by the Lobos, San Diego, USC and Wyoming.

The Lobos are fielding a lineup of Albert Boneta, Bastien Amat, Matthew Watkins, Brandon Shong and Carson Herron. Connor Adams is playing the event as an individual.

UNM has three top-two finishes in eight events this season, including two victories.
