ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The New Mexico men’s golf team concludes the regular season this week when it travels to Arizona for the ASU Thunderbird Intercollegiate. The event, hosted by Arizona State at the 7,551-yard, par-71 Papago Golf Course in Phoenix, will run Friday-Saturday.

The tournament will consist of two rounds on Friday and one round on Saturday. Live scoring will be available on GolfStat.

The event consists of an elite field of 17 teams, including six in the top 20 and 16 in the top 70 of the national rankings. The Lobos, at No. 19 in the nation, are joined by host No. 4 Arizona State, No. 8 Washington, No. 9 Arizona, No. 10 Texas Tech and No. 14 Oklahoma as top-20 teams in the field. Oklahoma State, UCLA, Baylor, SMU, Washington State, Utah, Oregon State, Houston, Colorado, San Francisco and USC round out the field.

The Lobos will feature a lineup of Albert Boneta, Matthew Watkins, Carson Herron, Bastien Amat and Connor Adams.

The Lobos are coming off back-to-back second place finishes at the Arizona Thunderbirds Intercollegiate and the Hootie at Bulls Bay last month, their fifth and sixth top-three finishes in 10 events this season. New Mexico has two victories this year, having won the William H. Tucker Intercollegiate in the fall and the NIT to open the spring schedule.

Following the ASU Thunderbird Intercollegiate, the Lobos will begin postseason play with the Mountain West Championship, held April 26-28 in Creswell, Ore.
