Patrick McDonald joined the Lobo family in April of 2025, and he serves as the Assistant Director of Player Personnel. He came to UNM after serving in a similar capacity at Appalachian State. In his role he works with UNM’s General Manager and Director of Player Personnel on roster management and NIL matters.
McDonald spent the 2024 season at App State as Assistant Director of Player Personnel. In 2023, McDonald served as a defensive recruiting coordinator at Georgia Tech, following a 2022 season in which he was a recruiting intern for the Yellow Jackets.
He started his collegiate career at Georgia Southern in 2021 as a player personnel intern.
McDonald graduated from Georgia in 2021 with a bachelor’s degree in economics.
