Graduate Assistant Offense

Kleinschrodt will be entering his second season as an offensive graduate assistant coach after spending some time as the Director of Player Peronnel.  In his current capacity, Kleinschrodt work with UNM’s offense in practice, particularly the skill positions.  He will also handle video breakdown and advance scouting.

Kleinschrodt came to UNM after spending the 2014 season at Highland Community College as running backs coach.  Previously he served as a graduate assistant at St. Cloud State University in his home state of Minnesota.  In 2013, Mitchell assisted coaching the defensive backs after assisting in coaching the running backs.  During his time at St. Cloud State University, the Huskies finished 7-4 in 2012 and 12-2 in 2013.  That 2013 squad advanced to the NCAA II quarterfinals.

Mitchell, a native of Alden, Minn., graduated in 2008 from Alden-Conger High School.  He went on to Gustavus Adolphus College where he bounced around both sides of the ball playing quarterback, wide receiver, and later finished as a defensive back. Mitchell graduated in 2012 with a B.A. in Communication Studies and also holds a master’s degree in educational administration and leadership from St. Cloud State University.
