Andy Grubb is in his second season with The University of New Mexico, working with the football program as the Assistant Director of Athletic Performance.

Grubb assists Director Aurmon Satchell in all facets of UNM’s Athletic Performance initiatives both on practice days and in the weight room.  Grubb will helps with nutrition and injury rehabilitation.

Grubb came to UNM from the University of Illinois, were he was an assistant strength and conditioning coach with the Fighting Illini football team in 2014 and 2015.  Before Illinois, Grubb worked with the football strength staff at Ohio State University. Prior to being a strength coach, his career was in education, where he taught at both the secondary and post-secondary levels.

Grubb is certified by the National Strength and Conditioning Association (NSCA). He holds a Master’s in theology from Duke University, as well as a Master’s from Winebrenner Theological Seminary (Church History). In 2004, he earned a Bachelor of Science from Bowling Green State University. Grubb played football while studying kinesiology at BGSU.
