PERSONAL: Born Oct. 26, 1995, to Dorothy and John Smallwood in Santa Fe, N.M. … has three older siblings: Chris, Joey and Claire … played four years for head coach David Vigil at St Michael’s where he helped the Horsemen to two district championships … also an accomplished swimmer and won the 3A district four times … is the district record holder in the 100 yd breaststroke … a member of the National Honor Society for seven years as well as a seven-year Block M recipient (three extracurricular activities and a 3.5 GPA), which is the highest award at St. Michael’s … maintained a cumulative GPA of 4.07 … favorite athletes are Stephen Strasburg, Mark Spitz and Matt Moore … enjoys swimming and watching movies in his free time … favorite movies are Silence of the Lambs and Major League … brother, Chris, plays water polo at UNM … majoring in psychology.
