New Mexico: Veteran presence in the linebacking corps that has started for all three of his playing seasons … a punishing tackler.

2016 (Redshirt Junior Season): Started and played in 12 games, registering 58 tackles, 7.5 tackles for loss, 1.0 sacks and two pass break ups … recorded at least one tackle for loss in eight of his 12 games … had a superb game with a season-high 10 tackles against New Mexico State, including a half-tackle for a loss … had eight tackles in the regular season finale against Wyoming … had seven with a quarterback hurry and a tackle for loss at Rutgers … equaled that at Air Force with a season-high six solos … only tackle vs. ULM was his only sack of the season … had five tackles against both Nevada and Colorado State.

2015 (Redshirt Sophomore Season): Started 11 games and played all 13 in his sophomore year … third on the team in tackles with 66, including a team leading 53 solos … registered career-highs with 8.0 tackles for loss and 3.5 sacks … registered a season-high 12 tackles, including 11 solos, against Tulsa … came back with six tackles and a quarterback hurry against Arizona State … had his best overall game of the season in a 38-28 win over Wyoming, with 10 tackles, 2.5 tackles for loss and a half-sack … followed that up with seven tackles, including six solos, against New Mexico State …. had six tackles, two for loss and a sack against San Jose State … had four tackles and a sack against Colorado State … added three tackles against Arizona in the Gildan New Mexico Bowl.

2014 (Redshirt Freshman Season): Started eight games and played all 12 as a freshman … started the opening three games of the season, the middle two and the final three … became UNM’s starting middle backer after an injury to Dakota Cox, prior to that he was starting outside … finished tied for fourth on the team in tackles with 62 … had 5.0 TFLs (for 17 yards), 1.0 sacks (for 1 yard), three passes broken up, a hurry, a forced fumble and a fumble recovery … was named the Mountain West Player of the Week after UNM’s 36-30 win over Wyoming in which he had a career-high 16 tackles, 2.0 TFLs, 1.0 sacks and a pass break-up that was eventually picked off and returned for a touchdown … his final tackle in that game prevented a Wyoming running back from scoring the winning touchdown on a screen pass, making the tackle at the UNM 4-yard line … the 16 tackles topped his previous high of 10, set the week prior against Colorado State, a game that included 2.5 TFLs … opened his career with a seven-tackle effort against UTEP … also recorded five tackles against New Mexico State, Fresno State and Utah State … was fantastic against nationally-ranked foes, forcing a fumble that UNM recovered against Arizona State and then recovering a fumble against Colorado State.

2013 (Freshman Season): Redshirted.

High School: A Tulsa World All-State first-team selection as a senior playing for the Cardinals and head coach Bobby Klinck … named the co-Defensive Player of the Year in District 4-5A with 130 tackles, two sacks and two interceptions … saw action at tight end as well … East Central finished 2012 with a 9-5 record and advanced to the Class 5A state championship game … made 108 tackles as a junior with two interceptions, a sack, and a fumble recovery … the Cardinals went 10-2 in 2011 and advanced to the second round of the 5A state playoffs … scored a touchdown and recovered two fumbles as a sophomore in 2010 as the Cardinals went 11-2 and advanced to the 5A state championship game … rated as the No. 17 recruit in Oklahoma by 247sports.com.
