SENIOR (2014): Made 20 relief appearances and went 2-1 with a 6.04 ERA … struck out 21 versus just six walks in 22.1 innings … struck out a season-high five in 2.1 innings of relief at Arizona State on March 12 … earned first win of the season by tossing a season-high 3.2 innings against No. 18 Kansas on March 18 … was the winning pitcher in UNM’s 17-7 home victory over New Mexico State on April 2 … struck out four in 2.2 scoreless innings against Northern Colorado on March 2.

JUNIOR (2013):Made six starts and had six relief appearances for the Lobos and went 2-5 … had a tremendous collegiate debut against Oklahoma St. on Feb. 16 … in 5.0 innings of relief he allowed just one run on three hits while striking out a season-high six … made his first career start against Iowa on Feb. 23 and hurled 5.2 shutout innings … earned his first collegiate win in a start at UNLV on March 17 … earned his second win in his next start on March 28 vs. San Diego St. in which he allowed just one earned run in a season-high 7.1 innings … named both Academic All-Mountain West as well as a Mountain West Scholar-Athlete.

PERSONAL:Born May 15, 1992, in Phoenix to Tom and Julie Baumgartner … has two brothers, Danny and Tim … played baseball at North Canyon High School in Phoenix for head coach Matt Palmer and was 5A1 Metro Region Champs in 2008 and 2009 … most recently played at Paradise Valley Community College where he was a 2012 NJCAA Academic All-American … favorite food is pizza … likes to go hiking … favorite movies are Happy Gilmore and Inception … majoring in civil engineering.
