2015 (Junior Season): Played in seven games, starting two (New Mexico State and Colorado State) … struggled through injuries throughout the season … recorded 14 tackles, 10 solos and three pass breakups … had a career-high five tackles in UNM’s 31-24 win at Boise State … had three tackles against New Mexico State … broke up passes against Tulsa, Boise State and Colorado State … had two tackles against Arizona in the Gildan New Mexico Bowl.
2014 (Sophomore Season): Played in five games, starting three … was on the field constantly until suffering a hamstring pull in a nationally televised game against Fresno State, forcing him to miss the remainder of the season, save for five plays against UNLV … had four tackles on the season, a pass break-up and an interception … in one of the seminal moments of the 2014 season, Brown, after missing three games, entered in the fourth quarter with UNM trailing UNLV 21-17 in the fourth quarter on his own volition. On his fifth play, he intercepted a pass and returned the ball 43 yards to the UNLV 4-yard line, limping the entire way … UNM took the lead the next play, keying a 31-28 win … Brown would eventually miss the reminder of the season … had a pass break-up against UTEP in the season opener … had two tackles against both UTEP and Arizona State.
2013 (Freshman Season): Appeared in 10 games and settled in his role as first cornerback off the bench for the Lobos … had seven tackles with a fumble recovery, a pass breakup and an assist on a tackle for loss … finished with two tackles, a fumble recovery and 0.5 tackles for loss against Pittsburgh … the fumble recovery led to a Lobo touchdown on offense four plays later.
