New Mexico: An athletic big body who earned a lot of playing time as a true freshman … benefited from a redshirt season in 2013 and is beginning to fill out his frame … took a lot of snaps with the first team defensive line at nose tackle and will look to become a big part of the defensive line rotation in the fall … showing the ability to create a pile at the line of scrimmage … had a productive 2013 offseason, adding 18 pounds to his frame … needs to continue to learn the defense and show he can handle an expanded role … a 2015 Spring Camp Hard Hat winner.
2014 (Redshirt Sophomore Season): Played in six games for the Lobos, making his only start in the season finale against Wyoming … played mostly on special teams until the Wyoming game … was praised by the staff for staying game-ready throughout the season … finished the season with five total tackles … had four of those against Wyoming
2013 (Sophomore Season): Redshirted.
2012 (Freshmann Season): Played in all 13 games at defensive tackle … finished the season with five tackles, one apiece in five games. Also colleged three pass breakups.
High School: A two-year first-team All-Capital Conference and Group 4 selection (2010-11) for Rancocas Valley Regional and coach Dan Haussman … also a first-team All-Burlington County honoree his senior year … finished with 42 tackles, six sacks, three forced fumbled, four pass deflections and one fumble recovery in 10 games in 2011 … had 36 tackles, seven sacks, four forced fumbles and two interceptions his junior year … a team co-captain who helped Rancocas to back-to-back playoff appearances … one of Rancocas’ coaches, Terrence Howard, played for Bob Davie at Notre Dame … Howard says Twitty has a great first step off the ball, is a run-stuffer and a tireless worker … also is a four-year letterman in basketball, helping the team win a state championship in 2008.
