New Mexico: Three-year quarterback that is expected to redshirt in 2015 and transition to tight end … missed spring camp with an injury in 2014, but worked with both the tight ends learning plays and routes while helping the returning quarterbacks with the option game … earned Academic All-Mountain West honors in the fall of 2012 … a 2015 Spring Camp Hard Hat winner.

2014 (Junior Season): Started the season as the No. 1 quarterback, and had the most QB starts on the team with six … was hampered by injuries much of the year … rushed for 322 yards and two touchdowns in six games, and went 12-for-26 passing for 105 yards … rushed for 184 yards and two touchdowns in the season opener against UTEP … it was the second-most rushing yards by a quarterback in UNM history … was 3-for-5 passing for 36 yards as well … scored on runs of 68 and 51 yards … was driving UNM for a fourth-quarter go-ahead score when he pulled a hamstring after a 33-yard run, missing the rest of the game … returned three weeks later to start against New Mexico State, rushing for 53 yards and going 2-for-6 passing for 13 yards, but left at halftime after tweaking his hamstring again … started against UTSA and San Diego State, but only played the opening couple of series before giving way to Lamar Jordan … played almsot the entire game against Air Force, rushing for 46 yards on 12 carries and going 2-for-7 passing for 27 yards … started against UNLV but injured his foot on a rush up the middle and missed the remainder of the season.
2013 (Sophomore Season): Appeared in nine games with five starts … had five 100-yard rushing games, the second most by a quarterback in a single season in Mountain West history … according to ESPN stats, he finished second in the nation in yards per carry by a quarterback (to Oregon’s Marcus Mariota) with 6.6 yards per carry (for players that averaged at least 6.25 attempts per game) … No. 5 in the nation in rushing yards per game at 86.3 yards and No. 9 amoung quarterbacks in rushing yards with 777 … led all MW quarterbacks in rushing touchdowns with eight … he threw for a career-high 156 yards against Wyoming … had a season-high 140 rushing yards and two touchdowns vs. Air Force … added 127 rushing yards and one TD vs. New Mexico State … collected 118 yards and two rushing touchdownds against UNLV … started the season with a 118-yard effort against UTSA.
2012 (Freshman Season): A significant contributor to the UNM offense in its two-quarterback rotation … played in 11 games with four starts near the end of the season … broke the school record for rushing by a freshman quarterback with 760 rushing yards … scored seven TDs and had a 7.0-yard rushing average … rushed for 72 yards and two touchdowns on 16 carries against Nevada on Nov. 17 … had a career game against Wyoming on Nov. 10, setting new career highs in completions, attempts, passing yards,, passing touchdowns, rushing yards, and rushing attempts … finished the contest against the Cowboys with 155 passing yards and 149 rushing yards to become the first Lobo to have more than 100 yards passing and rushing in the same game since Kole McKamey pulled off that feat against BYU in 2005 … the 149 rushing yards were the most by a Lobo QB since McKamey had 152 against New Mexico State in 2005 … threw the first touchdown of his career to tight end Andrew Aho with 12:46 remaining in the second quarter … his second TD pass came on a career-long throw of 52 yards to Ty Kirk with 10:04 remaining in the third quarter … started his first career game against Fresno State on Oct. 27 and rushed for 50 yards on just three carries … had a long rush of 41 yards against the Bulldogs but left the game in the first quarter with a neck injury … had a career-long 76-yard touchdown run in the third quarter against Hawaii on Oct. 13 and finished with 104 yards on only five carries … carried the ball seven times for 79 yards against Texas State on Oct. 6, including one run for 53 yards … rushed for 71 yards and two TDs against No. 24 Boise State on Sept. 29 … led the Lobos on four touchdown drives in the second half against the Broncos, including a 96-yard drive … it was the second time this season he scored two touchdowns in one game … also rushed for a two-point conversion against Boise, bringing the Lobos within three points midway through the fourth quarter … made his first career appearance for the Lobos against Southern … carried the ball eight times for 88 yards and two TDs … scored the first TD of his career on a 7-yard run with 8:24 left in the second quarter … completed the first pass of his career to true freshman tight end Chris Edling with just less than two minutes left in the third quarter.
