New Mexico: Strong tight end who is a part-time starter and important cog in UNM’s running game … hasn’t been used much as a receiver, but he has terrific hands … a 2015 Spring Camp Hard Hat winner.

2014 (Junior Season): Played in 11 games, starting two … starting the finale against Wyoming as well as the Air Force game … used mostly as a blocker, but had one catch on the season, a big one for 41 yards against Colorado State.

2013 (Sophomore Season): Appeared in all 12 games as a blocking back and on special teams return units …played an integral role in the team’s rushing attack, which ranked fourth in the country with an average of 308.8 yards per game.

2012 (Freshman Season): Played 10 games and was a starter on the kickoff team … had a 13-yard reception in the season opener against Southern.

High School: A first-team All-District 16-4A, first-team Golden Circle County and second-team Associated Press and Texas Sports Writers Association All-State 4A selection at Corsicana his senior year for coach Phil Castles … the team’s co-Offensive MVP and a team captain … had 17 catches for 193 yards with three TDs … 72 pancake blocks and a 97 percent blocking grade … Corsicana finished with a 15-1 record and reached the state 4A semifinals in 2011 … a first-team All-District and All-Golden County performer his junior year … also lettered in soccer … Castles call him a “physical blocker, a great character kid. He’s as hard a worker as we have on our team.”
