Andrew Henry Named to Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Honorable Mention Player of the Week

by Frank Mercogliano

HOUSTON, Texas — Andrew Henry, who rushed for a season-high 112 yards and a touchdown on Saturday, was named honorable mention Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Player of the Week.  The Earl Campbell Tyler Rose honors players who either play for a Texas-based university or played for a Texas-base high school.

Henry, who played in Dallas for Allen High School, had his third career 100-yard game, but first as a Lobo as he rushed for 112 yards and a 33-yard touchdown, doing all of that on just 13 carries.  He also added 27 yards receiving on three catches for 139 total yards.  It was Henry’s first extensive action of the season after being injured and dinged up for the first half of the season.

Oklahoma State’s Ollie Gordon II was the Earl Campbell Tyler Rose Player of the Week after a 282-yard rushing game against West Virginia.
