Lobo Baseball JUCO Signing Class Ranked as One of Best in Nation
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – After the early signing period, Perfect Game named New Mexico as the No. 20 best junior college recruiting class in the nation.
The Lobos are the only Mountain West school to be receive a spot on the ranking list. New Mexico is one of only five non-Power 5 schools to be named to the list, proving to be recruiting at the same level as the big dogs. The other four non-Power 5 schools ranked in the list include Houston, Dallas Baptist, Charlotte, Missouri State and South Alabama.
Head coach Tod Brown credits Jon Coyne, assistant coach and recruiting coordinator, for all his efforts in building the Lobo program and putting together the best squad.
“A lot of the credit goes to Jon Coyne,” Brown said. “He puts a lot of hard work into recruiting these junior college players. It was good for him to be recognized with this ranking.”
This 2022 signing class will take the field for the Lobos in the 2023 spring season.
