Jarrett Gonzales Signs With Washington Nationals

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Jarrett Gonzales of The University of New Mexico baseball team has signed with the Washington Nationals, the senior announced Monday. Gonzales saw action in 20 games this past season and started in 18, posting a .246 average.

In 2021, Gonzales posted 146 putouts and 26 assists as a catcher for the Lobos. Gonzales was a consistent force for the Lobos, posting a 0.982 fielding percentage over two seasons. Prior to coming to New Mexico, Gonzales was a standout at Grayson College.

Gonzales is the third Lobo this season to move on to the MLB.
