Summer Tujague
Summer Tujague joined the Lobo Football program in January of 2024, and she serves as the administrative assistant for head coach Bronco Mendenhall.
This will be Tujague’s second year working with Bronco Mendenhall, although her family connection goes well beyond that.
With New Mexico, Tujague handles all manner of scheduling for Coach Mendenhall, in addition to overseeing various projects and serving as a liaison between the football office and the UNM community. Tujague also oversees the “Thursday’s Heroes” program in which Lobo Football invites and honors a community member that is undergoing hardship. Along with the Heroes, Tujague works with UNM Children’s Hospital in selecting candidates who come to Thursday practices, meet the team, receive gifts and help with the team breakdowns at the end of practice.
Tujague’s relationship with the Mendenhall coaching tree dates back to her father Garett Tujague, who coached offensive line under Mendenhall from 2013-15 at BYU and then from 2016-22 at Virginia, the first six of those also under Mendenhall.
Summer spent the past three years working at Virginia in the football office in the recruiting area as an assistant on-grounds recruiter for football.
The native of Santa Clarita, California earned her bachelor’s degree in hospitality administration and management from Utah Valley in 2021.
