Nick Grant joined the Lobo Family in July of 2024 and serves as a defensive graduate assistant, working in the secondary. He previously played under Bronco Mendenhall at Virginia, where he was coached by current defensive coordinator Nick Howell.
With the Lobos, Grant will assist with the defensive backs, a position he knows well. Grant played six seasons at Virginia, redshirting in 2016 and then earning five letters. Overall he played in 59 games for the ’Hoos with 32 starts, recording 138 tackles, four interceptions, three forced fumbles and 24 PBUs.
He signed with the Arizona Cardinals after his career at Virginia, and he also played for the Houston Gamblers of the USFL and the Houston Roughnecks of the UFL.
The Spotsylvania, Virginia native graduated from Virginia in 2020 with a degree in foreign affairs, and he played as a graduate student working on a master’s in educational psychology.
