
2014 season: Entering his second season as volunteer assistant coach for the Lobos … prior to returning to UNM, he spent previous three years at the University of Science and Arts of Oklahoma where he served as recruiting coordinator and hitting coach … playing in one of the toughest NAIA conferences in the nation, the Drovers hit over .300 each season under Hibbitts’ watch.
Senior (’08):Named to the Mountain West Conference Preseason Team and the Baseball America MWC Preseason Team…appeared in all 58 games, starting 57, accumulating a .332 batting average…third on the team with 46 RBI and 50 runs…doubled 17 times…ranked second on the team with 24 multi-hit games…recorded 12 games with multiple RBI, including a season-high four runs knocked in on April 21, 2008…carried a 12-game hit streak from Feb. 22 to March 15…collected a season-high five hits against San Diego State on April 4 and again on May 11 vs. UNLV…recorded three RBI in four games…scored five runs on three hits with three RBI on April 12 vs. Air Force…also scored four runs with three hits on April 20 against Utah…did not bat below .325 the entire season…committed just five errors in all 58 games played, mostly in the outfield…swiped seven bases…started the season at third base, playing four games while regular third baseman Ian Hollick recovered from an injury.
Junior (’07):Ended the season with a 13-game hit streak in tact, which tied him at 112th with the 20th-longest stretch in the nation … in the MWC, placed second in sac flies (5) … homered in his first game as a Lobo, going 2-for-4 with two RBI and two runs scored at Texas Tech (2/6) … one of four Lobos to get a hit at Arizona (2/10), driving in the team’s lone run … led the team at New Mexico State (2/13), going 3-for-4 with two RBI, two runs and his second homer of the season … only Lobo with multiple hits at Texas A&M (3/4), going 2-for-4 with a RBI … led the team in hits vs. Rhode Island (3/10), going 3-for-5… made his first start at first base, going 3-for-5 with a walk, RBI and two runs scored against New Mexico State (3/20) … started his first game at second base (3/23 vs. Utah), putting out three with four assists and scored a team-high two runs… just a home run shy of hitting for the cycle vs. Utah (3/24), going 4-for-5 with five of UNM’s eight RBI … led the team in hits and RBI vs. San Diego State (3/31), going 2-for-3 with four RBI, a walk and a run scored … only Lobo with multiple hits in the series finale at SDSU (4/7), going 2-for-4 with a run scored … led the team in hits, going 4-for-5 with a RBI and a run scored at Air Force (4/15) … team-high three hits in four at bats in game two at AFA (4/15) … scored a team-high three runs, going 3-for-4 in the finale at Air Force (4/16) … led the team in hits at Utah (4/20), going 3-for-5… second in a string of back-to-back-to-back homers hit vs. Hawaii-Hilo (4/28), finishing the game 3-for-4 with two home runs, two RBI and a team-high three runs scored… led the team in hits, runs and RBI in the UNLV finale (5/12), going 2-for-4 with two RBI and two runs scored … RBI-single in the first drove in the game-winning run, in fact the game’s only run, vs. SDSU (5/23).
Mt. Hood CC (’05-’06):Named to the Northwest Athletic Association of Community Colleges’ first team and all-Southern League first team … hit .376 with five home runs as a sophomore.
Gonzaga (’04):Redshirt season.
High School:Lettered in baseball and football at Grant High School in Portland … three-time all-Portland Interscholastic League honoree as an outfielder, one-time all-PIL pitcher…all-state first team honoree … standout free safety, earning all-state and all-PIL first team recognition … guided the Generals to a PIL championship in 2003, hitting .404 with five homers … also hit five bombs as a junior, posting a .420 batting average.
