Aasha Marler is a Lobo graduate who joined the coaching staff working as a volunteer coach with the horizontal and vertical jumps.

Marler is a native from Albuquerque, N.M. and graduate of Hope Christian High School. She competed as a long/triple jumper and short sprinter for the Lobos from 2011-2016. Marler made the All-Mountain West Team in multiple events from 2013-2016 and academically was a five year Lobo Scholar and 2014 Lobo Scholar-Athlete of the Year. Marler’s career highlights include being a 2016 USATF National Qualifier in the long jump and NCAA Qualifier in the triple jump.

The Lobo volunteer coach currently holds the Lobo indoor long jump record at 20′ 5 ¼ ft as well as multiple top 5 program performances in long jump, triple, jump, 60m, and 4x100m relay.

Marler double majored in marketing/operations and completed her MBA at UNM in 2016. She currently works in marketing and mental coaching, while primarily training for the 2021 Tokyo Olympics in long jump.
