2018-19 (SOPHOMORE): Named to the 2018-19 Mountain West All-Conference Team … tied for first at the Mountain West Championships with a score of 203 (-13) to mark his top finish of the season … earned the overall individual title at the Mountain West Championships after a three-hole playoff with teammate Sean Carlon … low round of 66, which he achieved at both the William H. Tucker Intercollegiate and at the Mountain West Championships, tied for second best on the team … averaged 73.06 strokes over 33 rounds … carded one top-5 finish, two top-10s and five top-25s.
2017-18 (FRESHMAN): Competed in 12 tournaments and 36 total rounds … held a season average of 74.39, the third best on the team … had five eagles on the year, the most on the team … low round of 67, the second best on the team … had six top-25 finishes … best finish was tied for third in the Mountain West Championship.
HIGH SCHOOL: Attended Sri KDU International School … was a member of the Malaysian National Elite Squad … won the 2013 and 2014 State Team Championships … won the Malaysian Golf Awards Junior Golfer of the Year in 2014 … champion of the Malaysian Amateur Closed in 2014, 2015, and 2016 … won the Malaysian Golf Awards Amateur Golfer of the Year in 2015 … champion of the 44th Southern Junior Golf Championship in 2016.
PERSONAL: Born on August 8 in Melaka, Malaysia … parents are Gary and Vivienne Green … his brother Gavin is a UNM alumni, playing golf for the school and is now on the professional Asian Tour … became the first Malaysian to win the Callaway Junior World Golf Championship in 2006, playing a record score of -3 and beating his nearest competitor by 13 strokes … his favorite athlete is Tiger Woods … hobbies include ping-pong, badminton and cars … favorite food is Asian food, mainly Malaysian food … favorite movie is Fast and Furious … majoring in Psychology … when asked why he chose UNM, he said, “My brother is a big influence!
