2019-10 (Junior Season)
*Went 11-8 singles and 9-6 in doubles, leading the team in singles wins.
*Played No. 2 singles for most of the year.
*Advanced to the semifinals of the ITA Mountain Regionals, going 4-1 in the tournament.
*Teamed with Alex Maggs to advance to the doubles semifinals of the ITA Mountain Regionals.
*Advanced to the semifinals of the Gentlemen’s Intercollegiate in Los Angeles, going 3-1.
*Had a key 6-4, 6-2 win over BYU’s Mateo Vereau Melende in a 4-3 win.
*Defeated Michigan State’s Anthony Pero 6-4, 6-1 in a 4-1 win.
2018-19 (Sophomore Season)
*Went 24-9 in singles and 14-10 in doubles, leading the team in singles wins.
*Was named All-Mountain West in both singles and doubles.
*Played No. 3 singles, going 13-4 in the Spring, and he finished the season on an eight-match winning streak.
*Won 13 of his last 14 and was leading in three others to end the season
*Lost in the finals of the Midland Invitational backdraw, losing 10-7 in the third set.
*To get to the finals, he reeled off three straight two-set sweeps, including a win over Austin Abbrat of Texas A&M.
*Went 3-1 and claimed a backdraw title at the Arizona Invitational with a 6-4, 6-1 over New Mexico State’s Louis Menard.
*Advanced to the quarterfinals of the ITA Mountain Regional, going 3-1 with wins over Southern Utah, Utah and BYU.
*Teamed with Ricky Hernandez Tong to win the ITA Mountain Regional backdraw championship, winning 8-6 over Sam Tullis and Ben Gajardo in the finals.
2017-18 (Freshman Season)
*Had a strong freshman season, going 14-9 in singles and 9-7 in doubles, playing only in the Spring dual season.
*Ended up third on the team in singles wins despite not playing in the Fall.
*Opened his career with a pair of wins at No. 6 singles as he eventually went a perfect 4-0 there.
*Played mostly at No. 5, going 9-7.
*Had a season-best three-match win streak in non-conference play with wins over Brown, Nebraska and Wichita State.
*Played doubles mostly with Bart Van Leijsen and Sean Baklini until conference play, when he teamed with Ricky Hernandez Tong and went 5-3.
Prior to UNM
*On the junior circuit representing the Czech Republic, Stepan picked up 19 singles wins and 18 doubles wins.

*Is undecided on a major.
*Favorite surface are hard courts.
