Sophomore (2013): Placed 34th and 35th in the 10K classical and 20K mass-start freestyle, respectively, in his second trip to the NCAAs in 2013…finished a season-best 23rd in the 5K CL at UNM’s Invite…battled a lingering sickness most of the season.

Freshman (2012): Earned All-Academic Ski Team honors from the United States Collegiate Ski Coaches Association as well as Lobo Scholar-Athlete honors…earned second team All-America honors for finishing 10th at the NCAA Championships in the 20K classical…named Team MVP for nordic men…recorded four top-ten finishes in the regular season…placed eighth in the 15K classical at the CU Invitational/Spencer Memorial on Jan. 14…finished 10th in the 10K classical at the University of Denver Invitational…claimed eighth place in the classical at the Seawolf Invitational…finished in sixth place at the RMISA Championships/NCAA West Regional in the 20K classic on Feb. 25.

Prior to UNM: Graduated from Norges Toppidrettsgymnas in 2009.

Personal: Born in Lillehammer, Norway…Son of Jørn Prestsæter and Gry Wiese Horndalsveen…has two siblings, Anna and Ellef…hobbies include running, cooking, hiking, cycling and traveling…lists Ryan Hall and Thomas Alsgaard as his favorite athletes.
