2013-14 (Redshirt Junior Season)

After posting a 9-3 singles record in the fall tournament season and 3-6 singles record in the regular season, McDaniels completed the 2013-14 season with an overall singles record of 12-9. He competed in several different positions throughout the season. He played as high as the No. 2 spot.

McDaniels recorded an overall doubles record of 9-2 for the 2013-14 season. McDaniels and teammate Rodolfo Jauregui went 3-0 in doubles during the regular season in the No. 3 doubles position.

He did not compete in the 2014 Mountain West Championships.

McDaniels was named to the 2014 Academic All-Conference team for his academic success during the season. 

2012-13 (Redshirt Sophomore Season)

McDaniels had a successful 2012-13 season as he posted a winning 22-15 overal singles record. He also came out ahead in conference play with a final record of 3-2. McDaniels picked up a 3-7 doubles record while competing with teammates James Hignett, Simon Hegelund, and Riaan Du Toit throughout the season.

2011-12 (Redshirt Freshman Season)

McDaniels reached the finals at the NMSU Invitational in doubles with partner Mads Hegelund in his first collegiate appearance. He was one of four UNM players to reach the round of 16 at the ITA Regional Tournament beating two seeded players along the way. He posted an overall singles record of 12-8 and an overall doubles record of 10-5.

2010-11 (Redshirt)

He redshirted during the 2010-11 season.

Prior to UNM

McDaniels is a 2010 graduate of Salpointe Catholic High School in Tucson, AZ where he was on the honor roll. His high school team placed second at state both freshman and sophomore year. He won second place at state his senior year. He was named First Team All-City junior and senior years. He played for Team Southwest at Junior Davis Cup. He finished high school with a national rank of 119 for the 2010 class.

Personal

He is the son of Joe and JoAnne McDaniels and has six siblings, Nick, Amanda, Paul, Chris, Kevin, and Kimmy. His hobbies include ping pong and basketball. His favorite athlete is Andy Roddick. He plans to major in Economics.
