Redshirt Junior (2014): Completed all 24 runs on the season … was named Second Team All-RMISA … had three top-five finishes, the second-most on the team in 2014 … also had five top-10s and nine top-20s … picked up his second career win with a title in the first slalom run at the Jade Enterprises/New Mexico Invitational … that was one of four of his five top-five finishes in the slalom … opened the season with a fourth place finish in the slalom at the Pat Miller Invitational … came in sixth in both the Montana State Invitational slalom and the second Jade Enterprises/New Mexico Invitational slalom … had his best finish in the giant slalom at the RMISA/NCAA West Regionals when he finished fifth … finished 24th in that meet in the slalom.

Redshirt Sophomore (2013): Finished a season-best second place in the slalom at the Utah Invite on Feb. 7…had three other top-10 finishes, all in the slalom – eighth at the CU/Spencer Nelson Memorial Invite, seventh at the DU Invite and sixth at the UNM Invite…finished 14th in RMISA MVP Points with 299.

Sophomore (2012): Earned All-Academic Ski Team honors from the United States Collegiate Ski Coaches Association…finished 13th in the giant slalom at the RMISA Alpine Qualifer…placed fourth in the slalom at the CU Invitational/Spencer Nelson Memorial…finished fifth in the slalom at the University of Denver Invitational…sustained a season-ending injury following the DU Invite.

Freshman (2011): Captured first place in the slalom at the Jade Enterprises/UNM Invitational (Feb. 5)…tied for third place with a time of 2:03:57 in the giant slalom at the RMISA/2011 NCAA West Region Championships (Feb. 26)…finished seventh (1:28.66) in the slalom at the Montana State Invitational (Jan. 16).

Personal: Born Feb. 3, in Kajaani, Finland…son of Jorma and Marja-Leena Penttinen…has three siblings: Jenni, Antti and Atte…studying business administration…enjoys golf, tennis, soccer and salsa dancing.
