
LOBO CAREER NOTES: Played in 103 games throughout her three-and-a-half year career and started 97 of those games…recorded 50 hits in 242 at-bats, including 14 extra-base hits — nine doubles, one triple and four home runs…fielded five double plays and recorded 131 putouts and 186 assists on defense…had eight multi-hit games throughout her career, the last coming against Boise State on April 6, 2013…six times throughout her career notched multiple RBIs in a game, the last coming against Hampton on Feb. 15, 2013 when she drove in two runs… had one of the best games of her career in early February 2012 against Idaho State when she went 3-for-4 at the plate and scored two runs in the Lobos’ 9-8 win over the Bengals… is “one tough cookie,” in the words of the coaching staff, having battled through three significant knee injuries prior to this season…her positive attitude, smiling ways and coachability through all the adversity are what the coaching staff and her teammates respected the most about her…a biology major — Jordyn is a two-time Academic All-Mountain West honoree.
JUNIOR YEAR (2013 – RS Jr.) – Played in 31 games and started 29 before sustaining her fourth ACL tear of her career during practice in mid-April…the fourth major knee injury has ended her collegiate career…recorded 14 hits in 79 at-bats including one double and one triple…defensively, had 52 assists and 34 putouts…the first recipient of an end-of-the-season team accolade created by the Lobo coaching, “The Jordyn Bledsoe Inspiration Award,” given to a player who inspires the entire team.
SOPHOMORE YEAR (2012–RS So.) – Started all but the last nine games of the season at the short stop position…posted a .250 batting average, recording 28 hits…had five doubles and three home runs…scored 19 runs and drove in 19…led the team and the Mountain West conference in hit-by-pitches with 13…named to the Spring 2012 Academic All-Mountain West team.
2011 SEASON – Missed the season due to a knee injury.
FRESHMAN YEAR (2010) – Started 25 games out of 29 games played in the infield for the Lobos as a freshman…hit .154 with 8 hits in 52 at-bats in her first collegiate season…had six RBIs, scored four runs, hit three doubles, and a home run.
HIGH SCHOOL – Played basketball and softball at Serrano High School in Phelan, Calif. …played high school softball under Mandi Notorianni…named First Team All-Mojave River League.
PERSONAL – Born Jordyn Bree Ann Bledsoe on October 29, 1991 in Apple Valley, Calif. …daughter of Shelly and Dean Bledsoe…friends call her Jo…hobbies include wakeboarding, snowboarding, basketball, and reading…favorite food is lasagna and favorite athlete is Nomar Garciaparra…her greatest sports thrill has been playing for the Triple Crown USAA team in 2008 in Australia and New Zealand…has three older brothers, Tylor, Keygan, and Robert…majoring in biology…restarted a Fellowship of Christian Athletes chapter at UNM along with teammate Kaity Ingram in fall 2011.
