New Mexico Softball Signs Four in Early Signing Period — Nov. 19, 2011

FRESHMAN YEAR (2013) – Played in 41 games and started 37 in the outfield as well as a dozen games as the Lobos’ designated player…hit .238, recording 25 hits in 105 at-bats…scored 12 runs and drove in three…recorded three stolen bases in five attempts…had a career-best three hits against Boise State on April 5…had six multi-hit games and recorded a four-game hitting streak early in the season at the UNM Lobo Classic.

HIGH SCHOOL – Played for coach Nick Rizer at Sunrise Mountain High School in Peoria, Ariz.,…three-year letter winner in softball…helped the Mustangs to two State Runner-Up finishes in 2010 and 2012…a two-time first team all-state selection in 2011 and 2012…a 2012 first team all-section selection…set her high school’s record for singles in a season with 51 in 2012…maintained a 1.00 fielding percentage for three seasons, 2010-12… accumulated 73 stolen bases over three seasons, 2010-12…posted a .446 high school career batting average…played club ball with Arizona Storm 18 Gold for coaches Kara and Greg Brun from 2008-12…was active in her community, participating in clothing and food drives with her church’s youth group and taking part in Adopt a Family during the holidays.

PERSONAL – Born July 14, 1994 to Brett and Lori Geith in Phoenix, Ariz., …has an older brother, Theron (TJ),and a younger sister, Lindsay…her brother, TJ, was drafted by the Tampa Bay Rays in 2011 and currently plays for their Advanced A Team, the Charlotte Stone Crabs…prior to being drafted, TJ played for Scottsdale Community College and the University of Louisiana Lafayette…hobbies include reading, long boarding and spending time with family and friends…favorite athlete is Bethany Hamilton…favorite food is seafood…favorite movie is Finding Nemo…is undecided on a major.
