Noroozian, Samaha Drop Opening Matches at ITA Sectionals

MALIBU, Calif. — Both Aram Noroozian and Georgio Samaha lost their opening matches of the ITA Sectionals in Malibu, California on the opening day of singles competition.  The losses drop both players in the consolation bracket.

Noroozian nearly won his match, dropping a thriller, losing 6-2, 3-6, 7-6 (8-6) to Berk Bugarikj of Utah.  Samaha lost in striaght sets to Linus Carlsson Halldin of host Pepperdine 6-2, 6-4.

Aram will face off with Karl Kazuma Lee of USC while Samaha will play Casper Christiansen of Arizona.
