Gaines/Sodre Win Opening Doubles Match at Colorado Cup

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Rebekkah Gaines and Maria Sodre picked up a doubles win over Tulsa with a 6-2 decision to highlight the opening day of the Colorado Cup hosted by the University of Denver.

UNM couldn’t get a singles win, althought three of the four could have gone either way. Maud Vandeputte lost in three sets and both Sofia Taborga and Gaines lost tiebreakers.  Play continues Saturday and Sunday.
