Men’s Tennis Adds Connor Dils
ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Connor Dils, no stranger to the New Mexico tennis scene, will keep it that way. Dils, from Albuquerque Academy and the son of former Lobo assistant tennis coach Loren Dils and the nephew of former head tennis coach Alan Dils will join the Lobos for the 2024-25 season, announced head coach Chris Russell.
Dils, who helped Albuquerque Academy to four straight state titles, was the Albuquerque Journal Metro Player of the Year in 2024 as he capped a perfect season, going undefeated in winning the state title. He was the 2022 New Mexico Games Youth Male Athlete of the Year and he twice won the state doubles title, teaming with his brother Tanner both times.
He graduated from Academy with a 4.11 GPA and is a four-time Academic All-District selection.
“We are excited to have Connor Dils join our program,” said head coach Chris Russell. “I got to know his dad Loren well, and his uncle Alan is still close with our program. Connor is a great addition to our program and it’s great to continue the tradition of the Dils family with Lobo Tennis.”
