Lobos Wrap Up Play at PING/ASU Invitational

PHOENIX, Ariz. – The New Mexico women’s golf team concluded play Saturday at the PING/ASU Invitational with the final round at the Papago Golf Course. The Lobos shot 18-over during the final 18 holes to finish the tournament in 17th place among an elite field where every team is ranked in the top 80 nationally.

Northwestern won the tournament with an 11-under total, three shots ahead of a three-way tie for second at 8-under by Cal, UCLA and host Arizona State.

Lauren Lehigh had the low round of the day for New Mexico, shooting a 1-over 73 to finish the event at 4-over. Myah McDonald was the Lobos’ top individual finisher at 1-over for the tournament after a final round 75. Annie Saechueng shot a final round 78 on Saturday, while Maria Caparros Levin shot 80 and Lisa-Marie Pagliano shot 82.

The PING/ASU Invitational was the final regular season event for the Lobos. They return to action Apr. 16-18 at the Mountain West Championship in Palm Springs, Calif.
