Lobo Women’s Golf Concludes Fall at Jim West Classic

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The New Mexico women’s golf team concludes the fall portion of its schedule with a trip to Texas for the Jim West Classic. The event, hosted by Texas State, will run Sunday-Monday at the 6,132-yard, par-72 Kissing Tree Golf Club in San Marcos.

The tournament will feature two rounds of play on Sundy, followed by the final round on Monday. Live scoring will be available on GolfStat.

The tournament has a field of 13 schools, highlighted by eight teams ranked in the top 60 of the GolfWeek rankings. The Lobos, ranked No. 59 nationally, are joined by No. 26 Houston, No. 29 Oklahoma State, No. 39 SMU, No. 43 UNLV, No. 50 UTSA, No. 57 Texas Tech and No. 58 Oklahoma. Host Texas State, Cal Poly, TCU, Tulane and Washington State round out the field.

New Mexico’s lineup for the event is Myah McDonald, Lauren Lehigh, Maria Caparros Levin, Lisa-Marie Pagliano and Ciara Rushmer.

The Lobos are playing the Jim West Classic for the third straight season. They have a 12th place and 13th place finish in their previous two appearances at the event.

New Mexico has two top-six finishes in their first three events of the season, finishing T-5th when it hosted the Branch Law Firm/Dick McGuire Invitational and a sixth place finish at the Ron Moore Intercollegiate in its last event.
