Lobos in 10th After Second Round of Mountain View Collegiate

TUCSON, Ariz. – The New Mexico women’s golf team continued play on Saturday at the Mountain View Collegiate with the second round at Mountain View Golf Club. The Lobos shot 1-under for the second straight day to sit in 10th place at 2-under through 36 holes.

Iowa State is the 36-hole leader at 31-under, holding a 15-shot advantage over second-place Ohio State (16-under). TCU is third at 13-under, while San Jose State (12-under) and Tulsa (11-under) round out the top five.

Jenny Lertsadwattana leads the Lobos through two rounds, T-8th on the individual leaderboard at 5-under after a 5-under 67 on Saturday. Lauren Lehigh is at 3-under for the tournament after posting a 71 in the second round. Lisa-Marie Pagliano shot 73 on Saturday, while Maria Caparros Levin and Annie Saechueng each shot 77 to round out the UNM lineup

“We had a slow start today, but then we settled down,” said head coach Jill Trujillo. “We made a lot of birdies, but also had too many mental errors. Great playing by Lauren, Jenny and Lili today.”

The Mountain View Collegiate will conclude Sunday at Mountain View Golf Club.
