Women’s Golf Heads to Arizona for Mountain View Collegiate

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The New Mexico women’s golf team plays its second of three straight events in Arizona this week with the Mountain View Collegiate. The event, hosted by Kansas State and Missouri, will run Friday-Sunday at the 6,352-yard, par-72 Mountain View Golf Club in Tucson.

The tournament will consist of one round per day, beginning on Friday. Live scoring of the event will be on BirdieFire.com.

This year’s tournament features 17 schools, including 11 teams ranked currently in the GolfStat top 50. The Lobos, who moved up to No. 41 this week, are joined by No. 6 San Jose State, No. 23 Ohio State, No. 26 Iowa State, No. 34 Arkansas, No. 36 Houston, No. 37 TCU, No. 42 Tulsa, No. 44 North Texas, No. 49 Nebraska and No. 50 North Carolina. Co-hosts Kansas State and Missouri, along with New Mexico State, Southern Miss, UNLV and Wisconsin round out the field.

New Mexico’s lineup for the event is Lauren Lehigh, Napat “Jenny” Lertsadwattana, Maria Caparros Levin, Lisa-Marie Pagliano and Annie Saechueng.

The Lobos are coming off a second place finish at the Clover Cup last week in Mesa, Ariz., where Lehigh had a T-3rd finish to lead UNM.
