Women’s Golf Returns to Action at Clover Cup in Arizona

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The New Mexico women’s golf team travels to Arizona this week for the Clover Cup. The event, hosted by Notre Dame, will run Friday-Sunday at the 6,184-yard, par-72 Longbow Golf Club in Mesa.

The tournament will consist of one round per day, beginning on Friday. Live scoring of the event will be on Golfstat.com.

This year’s tournament features 14 schools, including five teams ranked currently in the GolfStat top 50. The Lobos, at No. 50, are joined by No. 10 Texas A&M, No. 29 Clemson, No. 31 Georgia and No. 46 Tennessee. Host Notre Dame, Chattanooga, Cincinnati, Colorado State, FIU, Indiana, Louisville, Mercer and Northern Illinois round out the field.

New Mexico’s lineup for the event is Myah McDonald, Lauren Lehigh, Napat “Jenny” Lertsadwattana, Maria Caparros Levin and Chloe Lauer. Sophia Zamarripa is playing the event as an individual.

The Lobos are coming off a third place finish at The Show at Spanish Trail in their last event three weeks ago as McDonald captured her first collegiate victory.
