Maggs/Pucalka Advance to Semis

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. —- Jan Pucalka and Alex Maggs won again, winning 8-6 over Facundo Tomosa and Maikel deBoas of Northern Arizona to advance to the semifinals of the ITA Mountain Region Championships.  Daniil Kakhniuk lost his semifinal match in the Lobo singles draw to end his tournament.

Pucalka nd Maggs will now face Idaho’s Francisco Bascon and Matteo Masala for a berth in the finals.  The winner of that match will also earn an automatci berth into the ITA National Championships in San Diego, November 2-6.  UNM has a doubles team that also qualified on the women’s side in Katherine Jhang and Leonie Hoppe, who won the ITA women’s doubles title.
