Lertsadwattana Continues to Lead Ron Moore Intercollegiate

HIGHLANDS RANCH, Colo. – The New Mexico women’s golf team continued play Saturday at the Ron Moore Intercollegiate with the second round of play at the Highlands Ranch Golf Club. The Lobos shot 2-under during the second round to remain in second place at 6-under overall.

Vanderbilt is the 36-hole leader at 21-under, while the Lobos are the only other team under par after two rounds. Host Denver is third at 1-over, while Tulane, Xavier and Incarnate Word are tied for fourth at 5-over.

Jenny Lertsadwattana continues to be the tournament’s individual leader after shooting a 2-under 70 on Saturday. She is at 9-under for the tournament and leads by one stroke after 36 holes. Lauren Lehigh is also in the top five at 5-under, T-3rd after a second round even par 72. Annie Saecheung shot a 1-under 71 on Saturday, while Maria Capparos Levin shot 73 and Myah McDonald shot 76 in the second round.

“Everyone played pretty steady today, but the birdies just didn’t come,” said head coach Jill Trujillo. “I know we can take it lower tomorrow and they’re up for the task.”

The Ron Moore Intercollegiate will conclude Sunday at the Highlands Ranch Golf Club.
