Lobo Women’s Golf Open Season Monday-Tuesday at Home

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The New Mexico women’s golf team opens its 2022-23 season Monday-Tuesday as it hosts the 44th annual Branch Law Firm/Dick McGuire Invitational, presented by Margaret Moses Branch. The event at the 6,354-yard, par-72 UNM Championship Course is free for spectators to attend.

The first two rounds of the tournament will be played on Monday, beginning with a shotgun start at 7:30 a.m. The final round will be Tuesday, also starting with a 7:30 a.m. shotgun start. Live scoring will be available on Golfstat.com.

This year’s tournament features 17 schools. Joining the host Lobos are Cal Poly, Charlotte, Denver, Fresno State, Iowa, Iowa State, Kansas, Kansas State, Kent State, Northwestern, Ohio State, San Diego State, SMU, Texas Tech, UNLV and USC.

New Mexico’s lineup for the event is Lauren Lehigh, Myah McDonald, Napat “Jenny” Lertsadwattana, Lisa-Marie Pagliano and Maria Caparros Levin. Annie Saechueng, Chloe Lauer and Sophia Zamarripa will also compete as individuals.

The 44th Annual Branch Law Firm/Dick McGuire Invitational, presented by Margaret Moses Branch, marks the 67th year that UNM has hosted a women’s golf event, dating back to 1956 in conjunction with the William H Tucker Invitational hosted by the UNM men’s team.
