UNM to Host NM United on Tuesday: What to Know

by Frank Mercogliano

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. — Due to facility issues and tight scheduling windows, The University of New Mexico will host New Mexico United’s rescheduled game with Phoenix Rising on Tuesday, May 24 with kickoff slated for 7 p.m.  It will be a busy evening around the corner of University and Avenida Cesar Chavez as the Albuquerque Isotopes will be hosting the Round Rock Express at 6:35 pm

Due to the two games at nearly the same time, and the late addition of the United game to the facility schedule, all parking will be cashless for those who do not have a regular pass used for Isotopes or United games.  We ask all patrons coming to the games to arrive early, and fans of the United would be best served using the Stadium East lot nearest the UNM Soccer Complex.

Fans coming to the Isotopes games should be able to park in all the regular lots as well as Stadium East.

Concessions will be available for the United/Rising game, but due to the late addition to the schedule, some items might be limited.  Fans are asked to plan ahead and also pick up concessions early enough to not miss any of the match.

Capacity will be capped at 5,500 for the match, with 5,000 seats located in the main grandstands and 500 behind the goals.  Fans can check www.newmexicoutd.com for more information one where and what sections their game tickets translate to at the UNM Soccer Complex.

Fans that do not have a ticket must purchase them from www.newmexicoutd.com/tickets as no outbound ticket windows will be in use during the game due to presales.  Fans with tickets for the original date but are unable to attend Tuesday should go to www.newmexicoutd.com to inquire about refunds and credits.

Fans should know that UNM’s facilities do have a Clear Bag Policy, which is below:

*All patrons who choose to bring bags into the game must abide by the clear bag policy
*Clear Bags may be no larger than 12”x6”x12”
