ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – New Mexico will host the NCAA Albuquerque Women’s Golf Regional this week at the UNM Championship Course. Play will be held Monday-Wednesday with action starting each day at 8:00 a.m. and admission is free.

The field for the event, one of six NCAA regionals, features 12 teams and six individuals competing to advance to the NCAA Championships, held May 20-25 in Scottsdale, Ariz. The top four teams and top two individuals (not on advancing teams) will advance from each regional to the NCAA Championships.

The Lobos will be represented at the tournament by two individuals, juniors Jenny Lertsadwattana and Lauren Lehigh. It will be the second NCAA appearance for both players, as both competed last year when New Mexico played in the NCAA Columbus Regional.

The 12 teams competing in the Albuquerque Regional are Oregon, Florida, Texas, Arizona, Georgia, TCU, Louisville, North Texas, Oklahoma, Sam Houston, Northern Arizona and New Mexico State. Joining Lertsdwattana and Lehigh as individuals are individuals from Maryland, San Diego State and Chattanooga.

The Lobos are hosting NCAA women’s play for the fifth time at the UNM Championship Course. New Mexico hosted the 1987 and 2008 NCAA Championships and regionals in 1994, 2017 and 2022.
