Lobos Head to Washington for Mountain West Championship

BREMERTON, Wash. – The New Mexico men’s golf team concludes begins the postseason when it travels to Washington for the Mountain West Championship. The tournament will be held at the 7,115-yard, par-72 Olympic Course at the Gold Mountain Golf Club.

The tournament will run Friday-Sunday, with one round each day. Live scoring will be available on Golfstat.com.

The Lobos are the reigning Mountain West Champions, having won last year’s event in Tucson, Ariz. New Mexico is searching for its ninth Mountain West title, having won the event in 2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, 2013, 2014, 2019 and 2021.

New Mexico enters the tournament as the top-ranked team in the conference at No. 33 nationally. Nevada (No. 34), San Diego State (No. 50), Boise State (No. 52) are also ranked in the GolfStat Top 60. Colorado State, San Jose State, Fresno State, UNLV, Wyoming, Utah State and Air Force the 11-team field.

New Mexico’s lineup for the event is Sam Choi, Bastien Amat, Brandon Shong, Matthew Watkins and Carson Herron. Connor Adams is the alternate.
