Women’s Cross Country Named To USTFCCCA’s All-Academic Team

NEW ORLEANS – After a third-place finish at the NCAA Championships in the fall, the University of New Mexico women’s cross country team earned All-Academic Team and seven Lobos earned All-Academic Athlete, announced the USTFCCCA.

The team posted a 3.33 GPA in the fall 2021 semester to earn the title of All-Academic Team, an honor that goes to teams that maintain a 3.0 GPA or better.

Seven student-athletes also earned All-Academic Athlete, which is attained by earning a 3.25 GPA or better AND finishing in the top-25 at the NCAA Regional Championships or earning All-American status at the NCAA Championships. Andrea Modin Engesaeth, Abbe Goldstein, Emma Heckel, Gracelyn Larkin, Amelia Mazza-Downie, Stefanie Parsons and Ali Upshaw all earned this honor after outstanding seasons in the fall.
