Lobos Finish at Hansel Invitational

HOUSTON, Texas — The Lobo swimming and diving team had a solid day, scoring in every event but one on Sunday as the team finished 8th out of 10 teams at the Phill Hansel Invitational, hosted by the University of Houston.

Overall, UNM finished with 384.5 points.  The Lobos had its best success in the opening race, the 1,650-yard free, with four scorers.  Camila Batista was the top finisher, coming in 11th for UNM, and freshman Caitlyn Beery was next up for UNM in 16th. Gracie Moylan, another freshman, was 18th and Josie Carpenter finished 24th.

UNM also had success in platform diving as Jocelyn Gallais, Daphne Scheck and Kristin Hepfer finished 16th, 19th and 22nd respectively.
