Senior Shaiquel McGruder filled the stat sheet with a balanced nine points, nine rebounds, three assists, three blocks and five steals, while Anderson added four steals, two assists, a block and five rebounds to her 15 points.

After a slow start in the first quarter, the Lobos found their footing in the second quarter, outscoring Eastern New Mexico 30-17 in the quarter behind four three-pointers and shooting 50.0 percent from the floor. UNM closed the quarter on a 10-0 run with Anderson starting the run on a second chance layup, two De La Cerda three-pointers and two Augmon free throws.

A McGruder and-1 close to midway through the third quarter stretched the lead to 20, with the leading reaching 27 points on a Cumber layup and again on a layup by Zeyno Seren.

The Greyhounds closed the gap in the fourth quarter, but the Lobo lead wasn’t in doubt.
