SAN MARCOS, Texas – The New Mexico women’s golf team concluded play Monday at Jim West Challenge, hosted by Texas State at the Kissing Tree Golf Club. The Lobos had their best round of the tournament, shooting 6-under, to move up to 12th place at 13-over.

Oklahoma State won the event at 39-under. TCU shot 32-uder to finish runner-up, while Miami was third at 16-under.

“Today’s round shows how we can compete with the best teams in the country,” said head coach Jill Trujillo. “We minimized mistakes and managed our short-games so much better. It was a great top-20 finish for Jenny.”
