Lobos Conclude Fall at Jim West Challenge

ALBUQUERQUE, N.M. – The New Mexico women’s golf team concludes its fall schedule as it travels to Texas for the Jim West Challenge. The tournament, hosted by Texas State, will be held at the 6,287-yard, par-72 Kissing Tree Golf Club in San Marcos, Texas.

The first two rounds of the tournament will be played on Sunday, beginning with a shotgun start at 8:30 a.m. CT. The final round will be Monday, starting with a 8:30 a.m. shotgun start. Live scoring will be available on Golfstat.com and the tournament will be broadcast online on ESPN+.

The Lobos, ranked No. 47 in the current Golfstat team rankings, are one of nine top-50 teams in the 15-team field. Other top 50 teams competing are No. 2 Oklahoma State, No. 14 Texas A&M, No. 15 Florida State, No. 20 TCU, No. 22 Texas Tech, No. 34 Miami, No. 41 Oklahoma and No. 50 Kent State. Host Texas State, Houston, Missouri, Tennessee, Tulsa and UNLV round out the field.

New Mexico’s lineup for the event is Lauren Lehigh, Napat “Jenny” Lertsadwattana, Myah McDonald, Serena Chon and Kamie Hamada.

The event will be the fourth of the season for New Mexico. The Lobos opened the season with a third-place finish at their home event, the Branch Law Firm/Dick McGuire Invitational and followed that performance with a sixth-place finishes at the Molly Collegiate Invitational in California and the Dale McNamara Invitational in Oklahoma.

This year marks the first appearance for the Lobos at the Jim West Challenge.
