Lobos Finish Sixth at Dale McNamara Invitational

BROKEN ARROW, Okla. – The New Mexico women’s golf team concluded play Tuesday at the Dale McNamara Invitational, hosted by the University of Tulsa at the Golf Club of Oklahoma. The Lobos shot 33-over during the event to finish in sixth place.

Tuesday’s play began with the conclusion of the second round after weather caused a delay on Monday. New Mexico was at 21-over at the end of the second round before shooting 12-over during the final round.

UNLV won the tournament at 3-under, followed by Nebraska at 8-over and Fresno State at 18-over and Sam Houston State at 19-over. BYU was fifth at 22-over, followed by the Lobos in sixth place.

Lauren Lehigh was the low Lobo at the event, finishing T-16th on the individual leaderboard at 4-over following a final -round 75. Jenny Lertsadwattana also shot a final round 75 to finish at 5-over while Myah McDonald was at 6-over following an even-par final round 72. Lisa-Marie Pagliano finished at 20-over and Tiana Cruz rounded out the lineup at 25-over.

The Lobos conclude the fall portion of their schedule this weekend when they travel to San Marcos, Texas for the Jim West Challenge, hosted by Texas State. The event runs Sunday-Monday at Kissing Tree Golf Club.
